130 years of history

Over thirteen decades, Société de la Tour Eiffel, founded in 1889 by Gustave Eiffel, has written a history marked by many highlights.

1889

Société de la Tour Eiffel is founded by Gustave Eiffel, a visionary genius, to manage and operate the Eiffel Tower, which became the flagship monument of the Universal Exhibition and the symbol of France.

1979

The city of Paris takes over management of the monument.

2004

Société de la Tour Eiffel becomes the first new REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) in Paris specialising in commercial real estate.

2007

Creation of the Company Foundation. Myriam Larnaudie-Eiffel, Gustave’s great-great granddaughter, becomes a member of the Board of Directors in 2012.

2018

Takeover of Affine. The value of consolidated assets totals €1.8 billion.
