History – Over 130 years of ambition
1889
Founded by Gustave Eiffel to finance, build and operate the Eiffel Tower, the Company was created on the occasion of the Universal Exhibition in Paris. From the outset, it embodied technical audacity and a spirit of innovation.
1979
The City of Paris took over management of the monument at the end of the concession, 90 years after its construction.
2004
The Company became the first new SIIC (listed real estate investment company) on the Paris Stock Exchange.
In 2006, it moved to continuous trading on the Eurolist B compartment of Euronext Paris and was included in the EPRA (European Public Real Estate Association) index.
2007
Creation of a corporate foundation that encourages creativity and innovation in the field of construction and its environment, promotes the image and work of Gustave Eiffel, and encourages the integration of young people into the professional world of real estate.
2009 – 2013
Development of high-performance commercial buildings and gradual refocusing on office real estate, particularly in major economic centres. In 2012, the Company became one of France’s leading listed real estate companies and published its first CSR report.
2014 – 2017
The Company was the subject of a takeover bid won by SMABTP in 2014. Pursuit of a selective growth strategy, with increased focus on financial balance and asset quality.
The Company adheres to the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact.
2018
Acquisition of Affine RE in December 2018, making the property company the fifth largest French SIIC (listed real estate investment company) specialising in office properties.
2019
Launch of a strategic plan targeting a portfolio consisting mainly of office properties, concentrated in Greater Paris and high-potential regions.
2020
Faced with the health crisis, the Company demonstrated the resilience of its model and accelerated its thinking on uses, responsible property management and the transformation of its governance. It was recognised for the performance of its ESG approach, obtaining the maximum score in the GRESB ranking for the first time and joining the Gaïa index.
2021 – 2022
Continuation of the portfolio transformation and definition of a new strategic roadmap, fully integrating environmental, social and societal issues.
2023
Creation of an ESG Committee within the Board of Directors, reinforcing the Company’s commitment to responsible real estate.
2024 – 2025
Continued arbitrage and investment to adapt the portfolio to new uses and support sustainable growth. Capital increase with preferential subscription rights.
